Real evidence

How to read an SEO review.

Start with what was actually checked. A technical check can pass even when a page needs better content, clearer contact options or greater visibility.

WHAT DOES THIS TELL US?

The page could be fetched and these technical basics were present.

This check does not measure search rankings, visitor statistics or how many enquiries the page generates.

  1. 01

Read the check and its source

Which page was checked, what was found and when? A successful test applies to that particular evidence. Anything that could not be checked should be stated.

  2. 02

    Consider what visitors need

Can a new customer understand what the business does and how to get in touch? A technical pass does not fully answer that question. Read the page and try the important customer journeys yourself.

  3. 03

Choose an action and follow up

Start with an issue supported by clear evidence. Fix it, check the page again and follow actual searches and clicks in Search Console after Google has fetched the change.

This example comes from a check of Nolera’s Swedish website service page. It is dated HTML evidence, rather than a full report or a client result. Your report uses the pages and measurements that could actually be checked during the run.

What the analysis examines

From checks to improvements.

Website Check reads up to ten public pages and attempts a separate mobile test of the address you enter. Page checks and mobile measurements are reported separately.

01

The name in the browser tab

Does every page have its own title? Google may use it as the heading above the link in a search result.

02

Copy and headings

We check headings, page descriptions and leftover example copy. You receive quotes, sources and specific suggestions to act on.

03

Links that open

Does the visitor reach the right place? See which addresses we tested, where we found the link and which response we received.

04

Mobile and technical basics

Google tests the linked page’s loading speed on a simulated mobile device. We also review the connection and the page’s mobile setting. If a measurement is missing, we say so.

Google’s mobile test is a lab test and can vary. No score is shown when a measurement is missing. Search rankings, search volumes, backlinks and your actual visitor statistics are not included in the free analysis.

Good to know

Questions about the SEO analysis.

What is the difference between the SEO review and Website Check?

Website Check is the tool where you enter your web address and start the review. This page explains the same report and how to use its advice. There is no need to run two different tests.

Is the SEO analysis free?

Yes. Website Check requires no account, email address or card details. It does not start an order or subscription. You choose whether to share the report or receive the report link by email.

Why do I get a good technical result but few visits?

Technical checks show whether certain basics are present and working. They do not determine how well a page answers a search query or compares with other results. Use Search Console for actual searches, impressions, clicks and Google’s index status.

Does the report show whether Google has indexed the website?

No. A public check can detect things such as noindex and readable HTML content, but does not confirm Google’s index. Inspect the exact address in your own Search Console.

Does the analysis test whether the contact form delivers email?

No. We do not submit forms, bookings or payments. Check for yourself that a real enquiry arrives. This matters even when the page gets a good technical result.

Can Nolera help us make the improvements?

Yes. Tell us which page and issue you would like help with. We review the evidence and agree the scope and price before any paid work starts.
